i'm so disappointed at e dad. not only was he questioning jo's techniques, but he was downright rude to jo. and i'm glad jo is still working nicely around him, and treating e parents with respect. she's awesome.

some times kids need a spaking , thats how i grew up and i never!! did all of the nonsense this kids do here or the disrespec i see every day with children in the united states.. you as a parent can mix both talking to them and spaking when necessary...

This fathers attitude towards Jo's technique's is rude and ignorant and i'm very suprised Jo didn't give him a FIRM word. Just like his "FIRM taps" which to me sounded like a full on hit which in my opinion is unacceptable. I believe if you discipline your children by causing physical pain they will learn that this behaviour is okay and one day, turn around and hit you back. This man needs a good talking to and i'm disapointed that Joe wasn't the one to do it.

spanks for only be for extreme situations when the child is out of control and is about to harm themselves/others, or if they do something extremely bad. but i find it creepy that this dad seemed so determined to hit his kid, its like he gets off on beating on his kid. this bastard should get his ass thrown in jail.

This father is a lazy parent. The fact that he refuses to listen to Jo, and the fact that he insults her techniques just shows how dumb he is, because the way he's doing things obviously isn't working; his kids are out of control. He just hits them because it's the easy thing to do.

Kathy is a great mother it seems to me. She's allowing herself to learn new tactics and put them into play. I believe their father needs to be as diligent not only for his wife's sake but also for the sake of his children. I believe he's a man who doesn't know how to handle parenting, which isn't uncommon in our culture where mothers have always been given the sole role. I think with guidence he will do much better and once he understands how important a role he plays in his family..even better!
