Lamentably, Derf passed away on July 29th 2010. He was a true original and will be sorely missed. This is from maybe 4 years ago.

I just found out about Derfy's passing and I'm absolutely heartbroken over it. I knew he was in bad shape from the car crash a few years back, but I had no idea just how much he was suffering. Quickly....isn't this a song he originally did with Scratch? I'm gonna miss you, old friend....I love you Derf.

I used to play softball with him in the 80's. Great guy.

Derfeeee!! So glad to see him again...can you tell me how recent this is? Reason for question...I heard Derf got into a car crash a few years back and he'd been laid up for quite some time.
