This is a tune that does not require a lot of notes or chops. In the scheme of things, your chops are the easier part of learning the instrument. Something attainable with work and dedication. Something concrete that you can set goals for and with hard work eventually you will attain those goals. However, what is involved here in this lesson with Tom is something more difficult and something much deeper. The ability to play "in the zone". The ability to deliver the goods and truly move people with what you are playing through the emotion with which you approach each tune you play. Tom does a GREAT job here with this and has truly gotten himself to another level of playing. Believe me when I tell you that this guy has a hell of a set of hands. Great chops. However, he completely holds back and plays for the tune and has enough confidence in only the emotion he brings to the tune to make it GROOVE HARD and really happen. Hats off to ya Tom!!

Thank you very much! I haven't received a comment on this one in a while. One of those deceiving tunes that look easy to play but are not. I'm really sitting back in the pocket on this one.
