First thing , obviously this is a man who is hurting and going through a deep personal crisis. Second it's not so much a rant as a public meltdown. Third this man OBVIOUSLY needed help, which unfortunately he did not get. Finally there is no doubt that he is in fact STRUNG out on something and it isn't music. Elvis was a grown man who willingly made the wrong choices. He had a beautiful daughter to live for . If nothing else THAT in and of itself should've been motivation to FIGHT TO LIVE.
