R.E.M. - ÜBerlin (Live Cover)

Performed live at Dundee's The Shore on April 15th, 2011 during an acoustic set. I made lots of mistakes with the chords here, but I don't think the crowd really minded! The vocals here are very quiet, and I'm sorry about that, but unfortunately I don't have the multitracks on hand to mix. So this'll have to do. :)

I could be cynical & point out a hundred things wrong about this cover but I know if I covered it on my guitar I would do it a million times worse. Well done for covering a truly great song from a truly great band.

@StinkiwinkiPoo Sorry, I guess it was the adrenaline kicking in. :D I've always found it hard to play live, and I wasn't sure whether I wanted to put this one up because this one went the least well IMHO.

@Stereotype23 It's me, on a different channel! Thanks for your comment. I'm not the best at playing live - I think in my attempt to be able to hear myself coupled with the adrenaline rush I go a bit fast and out-of-key, as you mentioned. As for the guitar, that was in the hands of the Sound Engineer. :P I sound better within the comfort of my own home - be sure to check out some of my other videos if you wish. I was in two minds about putting this one up, on account of the quality.

Way too fast, out of key singing and guitar sounds weird. Other than that its great. :D
