Suggesting what right-wingers efforts against the Arab/Muslim community as a precursor to a "pogrom" is particularly apt, especially after the hatefest that took place against the Islamic cultural center in Lower Manhattan on Aug. 22. Despite the narrative that is being bandied about that they were simply asking the Muslim community to be "sensitive" to the feelings of the families of 9/11 victims and not build the center so close to the World Trade Center site, those that spoke went beyond that, and attacked Islam in general, the building of mosques and other centers in other parts of the country, and even questioned their role in American history. And while government has not been too supportive in their efforts, which is what one would need for a pogrom, the seeds can still be planted. It was bad enough that there is a video from this rally showing its participants going after a man simply walking by wearing a skullcap calling him a Muslim (when he says he wasn't), but the following night after this rally, 21-year-old Michael Enright stabbed a cabbie after learning he was a Muslim, and when asked about the attack on an MSNBC Aug. 26, Former Gov. George Pataki implied that the tensions that led to such an attack is precisely why he feels the center should not be built at the WTC site. We have a better idea: those who are using Islam as the latest bogeyman either need to grow up or get shut down. We don't live like this in our society.
Ahha so this is what scared white racist people look like-ok got I see your point.
Sharia they need to be more worried about threats that are way closer than sharia law--like the Mexican/Latino TAKING OVER AMERICAN ONE CITY AT A TIME--BREEDING,OUT LAWING ENGLISH AND TAKING THE LITTLE BIT OF JOBS LEFT IN THIS BROKEN COUNTRY. THAT WHAT THE REAL THREAT IS--Sharia in America--I don't even think the Average muslim in America would be ready for that soo come with a real argument pleasee

@frednoname1 And you can't talk in anything but cliches. That's why you making yourself as an automaton is perfect. You don't know what you are talking about, only how to repeat what others say to get out of real discussions. These people represented the ugly of America, and you damn right I hate that shit.

@OnePeoplesProjecttv Then there is nothing more to say. You hate america and I don't fine.

@frednoname1 Eh, I heard all the crap on your videos before, and have talked about it to death. You go ahead and feel however you feel, but if you hurt someone in the process, there's nothing to talk about. And you should be careful trying to suggest you know what I am about. You don't seem to care too much for it when it's done to you. For the record, I don't give a shit what conservatives want. They can rot in Hell for all I care.

@OnePeoplesProjecttv
And this attitude of blame america first is exactly why the left wing is losing. Like they always do when people stop and see what they are.
Of course you don't dispute my videos, you simply condem them. Fine. As to the mosque. You really just don't give a shit what america wants do you?

@frednoname1You are a right-wing troll with a bunch of videos as an automaton that parrot the same line as other right-wing trolls. Now to your point, as this video notes, the speakers were talking a hell of a lot more about just where the center is going to be. They were complaining about other centers across the country, that Muslims never served in the Revolutionary War or signed the Constitution, etc. So that's a copout, and it won't be the first time that 71% of the people were wrong.

@OnePeoplesProjecttv The main objection to the mosque is its location, which to 71% of the nation is the same as pissing on the graves of the dead. This isn't going to build anything but problems.
One of you guys? What do you think I am exactly???
frednoname1 1 year ago
@frednoname1 Knew one of you guys would pull the "he was really a leftist" routine, but he still stabbed someone because of his religion - a guy who is actually against the Islamic center. And there's still rally attendees going after a guy walking by simply because they thought he was Muslim. You're right though. I do hate things like the hatemongering that went on at that rally - as I suppose you would be too, given you have a problem with people hating "anything different than you", right?

The guy who stabbed the cab driver was a left wing guy. Sorry to disturb your hate of anything different than you. Do continue.
