I am one of the SRU Conservatives (the guy in the flannel at the end of the table). We are not against health care reform as a concept. We are against this bill in particular. The bill makes it mandatory for all Americans to buy health insurance and introduces a government run public option. I am against the government competing in the free market, while at the same time mandating that you must buy.

Funny how that happens with the 10 o'clock news :)
I am generally pro-capitalism, and think that government regulation can reduce the "size of the pie." But when used correctly, it can also increase it in the long run, such as spending on research and education, and establishing responsible practices in the financial market.
I also believe that healthcare should be subsidised, with basic quality care being made affordable for all Americans.

this guy is a total retard. Tell him to read a constitution and tell them where it says in there that the people must provide for other people.
The audio soundtrack blocked off a large portion of what the conservative students were saying.
I thought that Mr. Tramdack made a great deal of sense in many of his arguments (sometimes more than the students), although he was clearly of an opposing ideology.
Usually before posting things on YouTube you have to get the consent of the person. Otherwise it is illegal and they can sue. However, since this happened on campus, it could be construed as an educational environment.

Yeah, we didnt control that music. The school was playing it for election day. You are allowed to film someone on public property. Its the same as the news rolls up and starts filming you and next thing you know you are on the 10 o'clock news. You cant use video or audio for commerical purposes without consent, but there are no rights of privacy on public property.

As always those who believe they are of a higher intelligence than 'the common man' think that the government should take care of all of our problems. Nice touch on posting, not only his name and phone number but his email address. Again, from the Lone Star State, I salute you!
