Several basking sharks seen off Cornwall 4th June 2010.
Very heavy plankton load in the water so photos and footage somewhat hazy.
Video clips taken with digital camera on "video mode" rather than my HD Video set up.
Claspers of male basking shark (about 20ft long!) clearly visible on last video clip.

  • Harmless and gorgeous animal <3

  • Great video. We saw some basking sharks in ireland this year. I hope we can see them also in cornwall next year. Is there a special point for watching?

  • @joementoza There are no teeth because basking sharks are filter feeders. They eat oceanic plankton. So they are harmless. Wikipedia can give you some more informations.

  • so wait the basking shark has no teeth? I'm confused where the food goes... more info on this species please somebody ?

  • I am scared of sharks so I paused the vid.
