I love kelly tang's Overture No. 1 and Overture No. 2. Our band played Overture No. 2 for our SYF 09' and achieved Gold. =D

The transition btw songs are quite nice-- its like a whole new piece by itself
but i feel tat tang shud be more innovative-- have better titles next time
e titles of his pieces are so boring lol..

some parts of this sound like elmer bernstein's magnificent seven! i don't think thats a local song for the singaporean youth orchestra

the composer did borrow elements from magnificent 7, as well as bits and pieces from john william's olympic fanfare and theme...yeah but the basic material are still the local tunes (man we sing them every year during national day -.-)
