Where does it come from
Who lit this flame in us?
No war can put it out, conquer it.
I was a prisoner. You set me free."

Absolutely beautiful. Did anyone else notice that the climax of this song is similar to Whitacre's Lux Aurumque (Light and Gold). Is that a coincidence? Either way it is a masterpiece.

Really an extraordinary film and an amazing piece of music to go with it.
The film really delves into the individual feelings and emotions of the combatants. In war, everyman is a casualty. Whether or not a soldier loses his life, his innocence and psychological health is gone forever. He never again looks at the world the way he did before War. And there is nothing in this world that will make him forget it.
War is not about who wins or loses, rather who loses the least.

This Movie is Terrence Malicks trial to find humanity in war...he failed, because there is no humanity. But its the most epic and touching failure in history of motion pictures! Watch this Movie. And think about the message! Brilliant.
