I used to watch Stan as a kid from Acton. One of the most talented footballers of all time. Rooney not even in his league. A true master. I Dont support QPR.

The video clips of him don't really do him justice. To really appreciate Bowles you had to have been there. If he wanted to, he could take teams to pieces on his own. A truly great player. If you ask the defenders of the 1970s, they will all he was special. For me, he was a complex character, but the best English player of the 70s. The
