THIS FREE COMMUNITY ARTS PARADE is presented annually by the Cleveland Museum of Art. International and national guest artists join Greater Cleveland artists, families, schools and community groups in a spectacular display of bright costumes, giant puppets, stilt-dancers, handmade masks and colorful floats. Circle Village, which includes the activities, entertainment, and food, is presented by University Circle, Inc. These photos are from the 2007 Parade, taken by zJayne

Wow! Jayne, I wish I had been there! Well, maybe in 2008 with all 4 kids in tow!? Looks like a blast!

Makes for good memories. I didn't know about this Parade when mine were little.. it would be wonderful for them. There's also a chalk festival coming up... I'll let you know when it's here. I have wonderful photos from those too.

Hi Jayne! I really enjoyed the parade! The characters were wonderful. Did the kids (and adults) make those large mask heads with papiere mache? They're great, no matter what they made them from. Thanks much for sharing, Cheers Joyce

Yes they did...adults and children. The museum offers classes weeks and months ahead of time to get everything together. Quite a production!

Well, we almost had to miss it this year and when I'm there I am certain I am never going to almost miss again. Glad to share...makes me re-feel the day and I love that!
