@neilpalmer400 There's been a mssive amount of archeological work at the castle and it's looking brilliant, they have tons more to do but the history of the building is getting clearer by the day. Harbour chippy is best in Wick and for cakes go to the Home Bakery.

@chillfmdude Yes Dunnet Head is the most northernly POINT but it's NOT a TOWN! Thurso IS a TOWN and if you check the map when you get home you will find that Thurso IS the most northernly TOWN whilst Dunnet HEAD is the most northernly POINT! Check out Google earth, it's great!

'You can feel yourself ageing' do remember there are quite a good few stops announced the train will not call at as they are request only and are rarely used!

More sensible? how would you like a career driving Thurso-Georgemas Junction which is 10 minute all your life? don't think you would like it.... and thats the way the shifts used to work out
