It's simpler.
Visit my channel I have two videos highlighted on the front page in "my videos" one about the core of Zen Buddhism (China) and the other about Taoism(China).
There are 11 schools of Buddhism but only I school of Taoism, at least to my knowledge, I may be wrong.
Hope it helps.

WoW very interesting! I never knew that. My people practice Taoism. We are known as the Yao people or the Mien people in China, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand. Yeah, you're right, most other chinese people don't practice this Taoist anymore, mainly my people carries on this practice to generations after generations.

Actually, the Chinese governement is encouraging the practice of Daoism, that's why Daoism is having a modest revival today. The governement has recognised Daoism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Islam as the four religions that represent Chinese identity.

I started by reading books! Maybe start there. In the "idiots guide to Taoism" There is a list of places you can go if you are in America. By the way the title of the book is really that. I'm not being a smart ass! :)
