Here you can see my interface for the arduino. With the program i wrote, i´m able to control a servo with the input of my normal RC Remote Control. The controller reads the pulse Signal from the receiver and converts it to a value that the Servo.h Library can understand. Finally the Signal is being sent to the servo.

Some Code for the Program is not mine, i found it at the Internet....

here is the program i used: http://uploaded.to/file/6oufild5
or here: http://www.flight-light.de/ipc/RC_Receiver_Interface_with_servo_OutPut_v0_1.pde

not all of the Code is mine some parts are from the original example to the lib.

  • the link isnt working. can you help me? i was planning on using the arduino to modify the outputs on servos for a robot arm.

  • @PoorWorksmanship

i tested the link and it worked...

  • @ixer2006 "our service is currently not available in your country." my bad, sorry. any chance you can make it available in the US?

  • @PoorWorksmanship

no problem, here you are (2. Link in the Description)

  • Hi ixer! can i have the code that u used for this? i try to go to your blog but it no longer exist.. i really need it for my project! i will be very grateful if u can share it with me... Anyway a good job!!! i struggling for 2 weeks & i still cant get my receiver work with the servo :(

  • @jnixetra

    Hi,

I will put a link at the description with the Program (I hope it is the wright program and I didn´t make any changes so I doesn´t work anymore…xD). It´s quite simple but some Code is from the original example…

Hope I could help you and sorry for the late answer

  • Thank you so much for the code! Was exactly what I was looking for.

Did you ever manage to get rid of the twitching? O and turning the potentiometer does not seem to change anything.

I plan on using your code (with some modifications) to read from my 2 channel receiver and translate that to movement for my robot base.

  • @ixer2006 THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! gt your code & it's really useful!!! waiting to see your next project in the future :)

No Problem. But if you just want to control the Car, the arduino is quite needless. But if you want to modify the signals according to some sensor inputs (e.g. accelerometers...) you must put an arduino between the receiver and the servos. I don´t know your project, so i can´t help you...

    but don´t hesitate to ask....

E.g. in model planes, they receive the steering signals for the control surfaces. So you use a Remote control to send the signals. Such a Transmitter/Receiver system can be very cheap, but if you want to have a lot of channels and a high quality system it can be very expensive (take a look at hobbyking(dot)com under Rx/Tx systems)

And the output is a PWM style output. in this case i use it to control a servo...

hope i could help you, don´t hesitate to aks more questions
