starter solinoid. grab a screw driver put the key in run position be sure its in park. now go find where the starter is. jump the solinoid on it with the screw driver and see if it startes.

GM cars are notorious for the starter swithces going out in these cars after they have been started thousands of times................try jumping the solenoid or do what I do and just put in a push button starter.
