Manifest Destiny in Ten Minutes

With many misguided comments, please know this is a lecture designed to help kids pass tests, the curriculum is set by NY state. I do not choose to bash Europeans, nor ignore ugly truths. This is a short theme based lecture on U.S. Expansionism and Manifest Destiny geared for the U.S. Regents examination in New York but usable for any high school level US Class.

Manifest Destiny was an Imperialist Doctrine which promoted westward expansionism and basically it was a very racist idea to think that it was ok to steal land away from people, because it was thought that those people were inferior to white people.
