Voter apathy: British voters stay away from voting after weeks of scandal over politicians expenses

Today's vote is predicted to be the lowest turnout in history as politicians from all party's fight for their careers, including the prime minister Gordon Brown ahead of a looming general election.

Its time to clean up politics, time to restrictor the British political system, time for a general election. If the PM wont call for a general election, then maybe it's time for Her Majesty the Queen to take the initiative and dissolve parliament and insist on a restructure before it reopens after the summer break?
