maybe it's idle feature, just like in Western Digital HD Blue, annoying Noise.....find video "Western Digital Scorpio Blue 320GB Clicking"

Same noise on my Samsung HM500LI 500gb laptop drive!
Tested it in many popular utilities and it is 100% healthy!
so i thin its just the specific noise for Hard Drives from Seagate and Samsung!
P.S.
Western Digital mostly doesnt have any sounds like this.
thats why i love WD.
but it doesn't mean that Samsung or Seagate is worse! it is just the noise that they make =)

this is normal, my seagate 1tb do a lot of noise all the time and still pretty alive

I don't think so :) There are quiet and not so quiet HDDs and for some of the non-quiet disks its normal , for other its not.

Got the same sound , Samsung SpinPoint f3 1tb hdd ... I just put headphones on so i don't hear anything :D

Just as an update, I've now had the computer for about 8 months and have had no problems, the noise still happens when the hard drive is working but I don't notice it now. So if your hard drive sounds like mine then I'd say you have nothing to worry about, unless my computer still has an unpleasant surprise in store for me :D
