Whip Ass Gaming: ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 - Fire & Water

Fire and Water, together at last. There's just something about CG-created water...it's so much prettier than real water. There was no background music to this, so I added the "Rusty Ruins Act 2" piece from Sonic Blast.

The Fire & Water Demo, version 1.1, is running on my Radeon X1950 Pro(512 megs DDR3, AGP 8X). Sorry about the dips in framerate, my computer doesn't do so well when recording video, at full size, via Fraps. The demo itself runs extremely well on my system, just not with Fraps recording.

In either case, the higher the number the better the card is...usually. When ATI hit the "HD" series things took a bit of a turn, but have since turned it around with the higher end "HD" cards.

Not a problem. If you hit something like Tom's Hardware(a website) and look for "ATI Card hierarchy" you can find a full list of ATI cards and their priority rankings.

funny thing is it looks prettier an smoother if you have 9.0a or 9.0b install (even if your using a ol "Radeon 9200" (8.0 class) card. : 3

@lubpenguin123 actually an 8500 would be best to compare 9000 is actually a stripped down 8500 (T&L removed 2 of the vertex and pixel shaders removed) so it kinda...sucks.
