FOX, forever true to the yellow journalist code of ethics, has taken on the question of transgender marriage with the type of professionalism FOX is known for. To set the tone, this piece (POS) was shown right before my on-air debate with a right-wing fundi who was against transgender people marrying.

This is my rebuttal.

  • @namitsu1 In the 70s, HPD would beat and kill queers. A despised group has no ability to begin humanizing themselves without first taking and exercising their legal rights. Bullying doesn't stop because the victim got the bully to like them; it stops because you stand the fuck up to the bully and make them stop. Full equality is a legal fight that happens bit by bit built first on winning things like the right to not be beaten on the streets and ends, decades later, with full equality.

  • @ehipassiko I agree that the US is not as racist or whatever as before, but what you fail to see is that this change did not come from government. Look at the gay status now. In most youth' minds nowadays it is strange to hate on gays or to not give them equal rights. Yet, gay marriage is federally not legal. The shift happens outside the legislation. All the change happened at a point when society was ready for it and then the law changes, not the other way around.

  • @namitsu1 You're really asserting that the US is just as racist as the 1940s and therefore blacks are just as oppressed, that we're just as misogynistic as the 1890s and women are just as oppressed and Christians are just as oppressed as they were before Danbury Baptist church wrote Thomas Jefferson, right? The idea is to give oppressed people a legal tool to address oppressive behavior if encountered.

You're one of those libertarian magic dust sniffers, aren'tcha? RON PAUL 2012!1! Amirite?

  • @ehipassiko Everything the government has banned still persists. It sounded like you think the government is the answer to your anger towards society.

  • @namitsu1 Are you asserting that the two are mutually exclusive? What example can you give wherein 14th amendment rights were withheld from citizens and securing those rights in the courts and legislatively wasn't the answer? I don't care if you're a racist or a bigot (you have a right to be a douche); I just don't want your douchery to ruin my life.

  • @ehipassiko your example is about social change not change the government could ever impose on the public mind. dont blame the gov

  • Texas and it's amazing logic.

  • fuck you we are transgender not gay we refer to our selves as streaight fox network.
