  • I don't think you're comparing apples with apples when you go from saying, "No one is trying to go about to rewrite all the works of Shakespeare..." to concluding that it is, therefore, wrong to translate Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic manuscripts into a more current version of the English language. Shakespeare's works were original with Shakespeare. The KJV translators (as well as modern translation committees) do not own the Bible in the same sense as Shakespeare owns his own words.

  • @deekdubberly Your argument assumes the KJV translators were the authors of the KJV. GOD was the author of the King James Bible. The translators were only the instruments God used. God had the English words He wanted in mind long before the King James translators put it on paper. The King James Bible was "original with God" just as "Shakespeare's works were original with Shakespeare". The fact that the English Bible is inspired may be the subject of a future video, time permitting.
