  • does it ignite an unlit match?

  • @cooldaddyjames

    Not likely.

If you lightly wrapped the head of the match in aluminum foil you may have some luck.

  • Microwaves are like itty bitty destruction derby cars. IN YOUR OWN HOME!! =D

  • Awesome! Best comment yet!! =D

  • doing this without a glass of water in there to absorb the excess energy will burn out the magnetron and ruin your microwave permanently

  • Your right about the glass but there's no water. Without the glass above the candle the plasma will literally burn out your magnetron. Not from too much draw, rather the plasma will seek out the place with the highest density of microwaves.

  • 0:58 Woah! Awesome!

  • @jb828films so superheated in fact that the electrons break free of their shells and run wild, which causes light to be formed. fire is plasma. lightning is plasma.

  • Plasma failed in the start :P

  • if u want to try this just make sure there is only a few seconds with the match under the jar before u start the microwave, if it is under it to long it will go out do to lack of oxygen

  • Uh, please, plasma is the fourth state of matter: energized particles with distinct properties, such as the property of being influenced by magnetic fields.

  • what happens?

  • You forgot about the Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis :p

  • Okk, lets say i dont know much. Explain to me how plasma is the fourth state of matter, and why?
