The highly acclaimed, multi-media production Songs My Mother Taught Me - A Celebration of the Music of Judy Garland is a theatrical extravaganza melding one of the world's most familiar songbooks with personal memories of a loving daughter. Backed by a swinging 7-piece band, Lorna brings her own unique arrangement to her mom's hits including "Chicago," "Man that Got Away," and of course, "Over the Rainbow." Called "a rousing, dramatically riveting musical event," by Variety magazine, the show was awarded two Los Angeles Theatre Alliance Ovation Awards: Best World Premiere Musical & Best Musical Direction. The LA Times called her performance "heart-stopping and thrilling... an incandescent revelation not to be missed." A CD based on the concert, produced by Barry Manilow and Colin R. Freeman, was released in 2007.

"In the show, we laugh, we cry, we sing, we joke and we celebrate the joy that was and still is my mom - Judy Garland - and her music. That's all we do for two hours. We want people to have a good time and be entertained - that's my job." Lorna Luft
