  • ... but i say we should go further and put out a global superstar someone who can win it for us like that man who just won two britts or that woman who won two as well although i have heard that the spice girls want to enter so that would be fun(!) not

  • fantastic song, to all the euro sceptics out there listen to this song. this is what it means to be european since then going on out there putting a brave face on and sing our hearts out. well maybe not hearts singing our appendix out. we need another eurovision win the nounghties were embarassing our worst decade to date but there is always hope and that is what we need to grab onto (expesially now we have got rid of our selection talent show process and starting to put out half decent people..

  • Also my country - Poland with one of our best singers - Anna Maria Jopek and song "Ale Jestem, which finished very underrated 11th :( It was our best effort equally with debut by Edyta Gorniak in 1994. Greetings to all fans :))

  • Sebnem definately deserved to win, I agree. Dinle is the best of Turkey. She had the bad luck to be in the same year with fantastic Katrina. Different styles, different singers but both entries are just outstanding in their own ways. I only don't understand why Ireland is in Top3, good song - sure, but not good enough to be runner-up. There is third masterpiece waiting just outside podium - Italy (Jalisse - Fiumi di Parole). It was a strong year in my opinion.

  • Great song and a faultless performance. Sadly there aren't many UK acts that can do that these days.

  • @andrewlawrence2209 Exactly don't you miss the days when Ireland had a monopoly on the competition ;-)

  • It's been 14 years. We need another win. Also, the last 16 winners have all come from different colours.

  • @sylictic We didn't vote for Moldova. The U.K. judges overall preferred Moldova to the U.K. so our judges probably liked Moldova alot. It was the most watched thing this year in Britain so people were REALLY drunk or taking it seriously. :P If people were really drunk; there's your answer. :L

  • @WuggyBigFake I'm sorry but Europe doesn't not agree with you.

  • eurovision 1997 Real Winner Turkey.
