2008 Upper Deck Spectrum Baseball Blaster Box Break

To follow up the last episode I decided to break a Spectrum blaster box.

The blasters contain the same base cards and parallels as the hobby boxes. From what I can tell the blasters do not contain any of the Swatch or Signature cards. However, they do seem to be the only way to get the Retrospectrum Swatches; there is a guarantee of one per box.

These boxes do have the Derek Jeter Retrospectrum and Yankee Stadium Legacy cards randomly inserted. I have not found any evidence that they contain any of the Jeter Retrospectrum parallels or autographs; my guess is they do not.

For blaster boxes these are fairly expensive cards. There are 7 packs with 4 cards per pack, and the MSRP is $19.99. The promise of a 1 of 99 memorabilia card in every box seems to make the offer worth it; every other time I am in the store they are sold out.

In this blaster I received an Orange base set parallel of Carlos Lee, a Yankee Stadium Legacy insert featuring Reggie Jackson, two Derek Jeter Retrospectrums, and a Jim Thome Retrospectrum Swatch.

I have bought five boxes of this ! I have been getting the shitty retro spectrum Jersey Cards ! All White Single Color ! But i just bought one more to try to complete the set which i havent ! But i Pulled a "1 of 1" Pedro Martines #5 of 5 Patch card Probably from his name plate or new york Logo ! So it is possible to get these i also got the orangeretro card #299 of someone from Phillies !
