  • LOL!

lawnchairs next to the track...times posted on a flatbed truck...classic!

I guess that track isn't NHRA sanctioned.

    Nice Buick.

  • The race is in Sweden in a tiny town with only 140k. inhabitents on a tiny airsportfield, so.. you are correct, not NHRA sanctioned! ;-)

  • how did the GN beat a 6-pak?!!??

  • With a turbo and a pressure at 20 psi it makes the tiny V6 a 545 cubic engine, like magic! ;-)

And..... it doesn't have a sixpack, only 1 hole where the air comes through... no magic at all... new car is in progress and one more StageII engine on the way over here....

  • The sound of that GN's turbo spooling up warms my little heart.

  • I would like to see a Syclone vs. a Grand National I'm willing to bet it would be one hell of a show :) prferably both being stock no tricks.

  • Way to go! That Plymouth ny way you look at it,got smoked. The GN won!

  • I like GN's but the PlymoUth hardly got smoked

  • The almighty GN does it again... Wow that was impressive..

  • @camirocz YES, there were 20 Vettes in 67 with the L88 and my dad had one of them. Do you know how many 1959 Chrysler 300 413 dual 4 bbls there were?? there were MORE than 2 ZL1 Camaros as the ZL1 was offered from 67, 68 & 69. You know nothing about me, so who is the one dreaming? I am done playing your cat and mouse game, pal!

  • @ChuckTruck78 Do you know how many L88 67 vettes were produced?Do you know how many zl1 camaros were produced? There were 2 camaros made with the zl1 in 1969 and you claim you guys had one of them? The L88 vettes were rare as hell but of course you guys had one of those as well and of the 500 GNX cars produced ....you know what i m getting at.....Keep on dreaming my friend.

  • @camirocz LOL! Ok, look, I know my life and what happened in my life. I have 5 brothers and between them and my father, I was witness to many factory Hot Rods from a GNX, SD-455 Trans Am, Demon 340, Challenger 440 six pack, 67 Barracuda 426 hemi, 69 Caddy 472, 59 Chrysler 300 413 dual 4bbl, 67 Corvette L88, 69 Camaro ZL1, 70 Chevelle LS6, My 3rd oldest brother is the one who was the Buick/Pontiac Fan and he IN FACT had a GNX that he tuned and raced, a few simple mods and he was pushing 470+HP.

  • I bet if we put the PLYMOUTH and GRANDNAtional on the scale everybody would be shocked at the readings . I would not be suprised if that GN was heavier then that PLYMOUTH old MOPARS were not as heavy as everybody makes them out to be.

I bet the weight is any more either way then a couple hundred pounds, so throw a 250lb women in the passenger seat of the BUICK and the results would of still been the same. It's just hard for people to except the fact a v6 could be so DAM fast.

  • 86 and 87 were not the same power ratings 86 was 235 hp and 87 was 245 hp.

  • @ChuckTruck78 Keep on deaming my boy .A GNX was 300 h.p stock and opening the wastegate did not raise it anywhere near 500 h.p I also doubt very much your brother had a GNX as they were very very rare cars.

  • @TheHorefrost 86 and 87 were the exact same car 245 h.power both instances.you would not easily pass vettes and 5.0 s theG.N. was dead slow once it wamed up.On an average run the vette was faster but when very cold the grand national was as fast as a vette. Most were low 14 second cars with some rare examples going high 13s However once chipped and with drag radials solid 13 second cars.
