Sangchamui and Giroyeon Ceremonies
The daily routine of a Joseon King began at 5 o'clock in the morning. At 6 o'clock, the King would start attending to the affairs of the nation. We will observe Sangchamui, which is a daily morning meeting between the king and principal officials that was held to discuss and deliberate on political affairs. Also, we will learn about the honor ceremony known as Giroyeon that reflects the Confucian virtues that were prevalent at the time, and shows the Joseon Dynastys special respect for seniors.
