Here's a different way of approaching it: You know how they say that the only thing we know about Nny's past is that his parents were murdered? What if THAT long haired guy was the murderer and the other two dead people were Nny's parents? The kid could be Nny when he was little, and just waking up from the commotion or is having a nightmare again of when his parents were killed.

Just a thought I had. It's probably not right, and I'm misinterpreting it, but it makes SOME sense, don't you think?
