Wassup, my friends!! Gameshowluvr86 here, bringing you a **VINTAGE**, CBS-taped episode of the Emmy Award-winning 1982-1988 run of The $25,000 Pyramid! This episode comes from the week of 2/3/86-2/7/86 (the same week as Andy Culpepper's BIG windfall on the evening $100,000 version), and features guest stars Academy Award, Emmy Award, and Golden Globe winner Patty Duke, and Howard Morton (Officer Simpson from TV's Gimme A Break). Barbara Schnell has already won a VCR, a home computer, a trip to Jamaica, and $33,950 in cold, hard cash! Will her winning streak continue? Let's find out!!

  • Johnny Gilbert is by far my all-time favorite announcer, especially on The $25,000 Pyramid. From all his years on Jeopardy!, he has an air of "epicness", which is perfect for an epic game show like this!

  • Haha... Can I get an "amen"? ;-)

  • ***3,000 VIEWS!!*** KICK ASS!!

  • I remember one time rod roddy from the price is right filled in.

  • Me too! He filled in for Jack Clark in 1984.

  • did this come off of CBS?

  • Yup yup.

  • Yes, the second one was Earl Holliman.

  • Celebrities in the flashback intros:

    1) Heidi Bohay (I think)

    2) Earl Holliman (Looks like him, especially after looking at that one flashback clip in the opening to a 1984 episode with Vick Lawrence & Michael J. Fox).

  • This episode aired yesterday.

  • RIP Howard Morton.

  • yes, he is a great announcer. but i think my favorite announcer is the late Rod Roddy. he had that feel of announcing and has done lots of shows

  • Can't believe GSN is actually gonna show this episode come tomorrow.

And speaking of which, I really enjoyed the first 4 episodes of Barbara. I especially liked the 4th one, where Dick Clark was under the impression that the men won, but instead, they were going to go into a tiebreaker.

  • Look for Barbara Schnell to start her 5-day run on August 7, with Anne Bloom & Michael Spound.

  • I remember this aired on WCBS in New York City at 10AM ET, and KCBS in Los Angeles at 9AM PT.
