Three neodymium magnets are positioned next to three steel balls each on a plastic rail. A loose ball is rolled gently to the first set and an amazing chain reaction occurs.

ball = attracted by magnet more the closer it gets, ball accelerates, hits magnet, force of impact transferred to last ball which is attracted to the next magnet more because its closer to it and the first ball left of the magnet (transferring the energy) reduces the magnet pullback. each cycle the moving ball will accelerate.

If you add more magnets on each set of ball bearings does it increase the velocity at which the last on travels?

Do they have to be neodymium magnets?

i don't even get why dumbasses like u bother commenting on these videos. tjp1451 is right, u clearly don't get how it works. but that's not what makes u a dumbass. what makes you a dumbass is the fact that you don't get it, refuse to try understanding it, pretend to know how it works and demean others why marvel at it just to make yrself feel smart. How about YOU try harder to understand it jackass. Or if your puny minded little head just cant, don't bother commenting, you arrogant little sod.
