A simple but effective modification that can be made to a Guyot Design Stainless Steel Bottle/canteen. This modification attaches a carry handle to the canteen so it can be suspended over an open fire.

  • Hey Sean, is the anywhere in the uk that sell these bottles? Cheers, simon

  • @SNHization

I bought mine from Canteen Shop Com in the US. I will look around in the UK

  • I had an English jewelry instructor once. She always said 'sold-er'. As opposed to Americans who say 'sodder'. I still slip and say it in the English manner on occasion.

'Nip it up', also an English expression.

Does your wife ever go out with you?

  • @tetsubo57

My wife can not think of any thing worse than camping, except for camping in the woods. So no, she never comes out with me.

  • that`s a good idea,,,

  • Make a headdress out of the fox skin.

  • Excellent use easy to find materials and good ideas. Thanks for sharing!

  • What cup are you using? I use the tatonka with my Guyot bottle but its not a snug fit, great video :)

  • This works perfectly without modifying the existing bottle. Awsome idea Sean, I just finished fixing mine. Much easier than getting the bottle out of the fire with my multi-tool. The "Chocolate block" is called "European style terminal strip" at Radio Shack in the US.

  • Hey Sean what if ya just put the cable in it and then when you need to suspend it pull it out put a toggle in the end then pop it in the top of the bottle and lift.

  • Fox skin hat... just saying ;-)

  • Great vid Sean, when you posting a new vid fella can't wait, little stuck for woodland down here in Kent but frying quite into this now.

    Ps

I think you have an admirer below lol

  • I love all of your how-to videos. Plus you're a hottie.
