@Gamesmarts194 Because the number 4 in Japanese 四, pronounced "Shi", has the same pronunciation as the Japanese word for death 死.

It's pretty much the Japanese equivalent of how the Americans associate the number 13 with bad luck. As such, there are no room 4, 44, 444 in any hospitals.
