Wow! I have heard many conductors breeze through this, and was left flat by Salonen. Previn understands this primarily as a piece of *MUSIC FOR STRINGS* and the dialogue between the violins/violas/cellos/basses is amazing! This is a very cerebral, yet pungent, performance. Thanks!!!!!
