Final year medical students at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire are being given a safe opportunity to put theory into practice by using a simulation patient.
Sim Man is known to the students as Matthew.
He is a high-tech simulated model patient who can do everything from mimicking drug reactions to giving vocal feedback through built-in speakers.
The mannequin is operated by simulation technical specialist, Stephen Tipper, who is able to change the responses and parameters depending on what they do.
Student, Jyoti Evans, says she appreciates the learning experience.
She says: "You realise how much you don't know when you do something like this."
Fellow final year student Tom Windsor-Lewis says the simulator mannequin provides invaluable experience.
