  • Please add light to your next video. it is not clear viewing the tabs etc. Also, I noticed that you said your computer originally had Vista, But when you booted up it showed XP. My laptop has Vista and it is SOooo much slower than XP. I was never happy with the Vista, Think I should go back to XP ?

  • @holland155 Well i made this video some time ago, When downgrading to XP was fast on this laptop but now its running windows 7 32 bit, runs fine aslong as you have 2gb+ of ram, but you can alllways put xp back on it but microsoft's end of life for xp is in 2013.

  • Question, I have 1 Gig in first slot, want to upgrade, If I get a 2 Gig card, do i put it in slot a or slot b? should the higher capacity always go to the first slot or doesn't it matter?

  • @holland155 Any slot is fine.

  • I dont know much about this...but if you expand your RAM what happens to all your old files on the old ram?

  • @MrSolid95 Ram is temporary storage every time you turn your computer off (or turn it off to change the ram) the Ram resets clearing it so there are no files on it :)

  • This is a "materialistic" video. =p

  • lets say if my laptop had 2 slots could i replace 1 slot or do both the slots have to have the same make of ram ??????

  • does i have to make a backup of my laptop before?

  • @drk321 Yeah, you're right on every detail. He should have emphasised the fact that you cannot just do what he did, but have to do your homework first. He didn't earth himself first, he didn't drain any possible residual charge in the laptop (not exactly rocket science just turning it on after removing the battery). Worst of all he didn't clarify just how important it is to take precautions rather than just diving in; sloppy, very sloppy

  • @cookaacoo Hey dude i have 4gb's of RAM and i need some more how do i know how much more i can install? i would much prefer 6 gbs of RAM but i don't know if my computer can have that much.

  • SOMONE PLZ HELP MY COMP HAD 2 SLOTS FOR 2GB EACH AND IM GETTING A 4GB ONE IF MY SLOT HAS 1 OF 4 AND THE OTHER ONE HAS 1 OF 2 THEN WILL IT STILL WORK. I KNOW MY COMP CAN TAKE 8GB AND 4GB PER SLOT

  • @cookaacoo do you have to buy a certain kindo of ram for a computer or can you just buy a random stick of ram and it will work

  • thanks alot thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks.

  • but you do need to discharge the static electricity from ur body before you touch your new Ram

  • @cookaacoo Thats a lie the RAM holds none of the files so if you change the RAM you will still have all your old files the files are on the HDD
