  • There are several different types of specialized medical devices that can perform the plasmapheresis process from different manufacturers. Different plasma centers use equipment from several device manufacturers. I'm unable to say what device is used in a particular center. Rest assured that equipment used in FDA-licensed and IQPP Certified plasma collection centers is approved by the FDA for plasma collection and provide for safe for plasma collection.

  • Pardon me, sir. I work at a plasma center and I'm very fascinated by my line of work (particularly because I stumbled upon it haphazardly). Our center utilizes the PCS2 machines. What the hell is that big, blocky, bulky, gigantic contraption in the other centers called? It's absolutely daunting in appearance.
