today was my fifth/sixth attempt to make a female body, i tried my best to keep the poly count as low as possible but no matter how much i try edge loops upon edge loops keep popping up some how and the final result is somewhat scary o.o
i think i am doing fine till i get to the shoulder part and then all hell breaks loose
i think this method is the third method i tried but i think its too slow, do you recommend any other method which is as good as this one?
@Theclinsh it's ok! :) you just need to keep trying! and always take a look at how others have built their models! as for the modeling method, you can also try box modeling (i've got some videos on that too!). It's just a matter of personal preference, even though one might be more easier than the other in certain cases. You should join the official blender chat channel on freenode (if you don't know how, just send me a pm! :)
@Theclinsh Don't worry too much about the polygons while you model (just try to respect the topology you planned to use). You can/will clean it up later when you notice that certain parts can be simplified. Just remember to tweak each vertex you add so that you don't have to do it later (when you have too many of them)
you make it sound so easy =P
