ASPERGERS SYNDROME TEENAGERS: Trouble Making Friends

Because teens with Aspergers Syndrome have such difficulty reading social cures, these teenagers can't seem to pick up on the social slang that many teens use; they can't talk easily and casually like to many teens do. Because of this they are often shunned. Teenagers with Aspergers syndrome want friends but their Aspergers symptoms prevent them from figuring out how to get them. For a teenager with autism, this can be especially painful. Aspergers disorder or Aspergers disease, as some call it, can lead to depression, anxiety and worry for many children, teens and adults.

Almost all my "friends" have abandoned me for various reasons. And since I'm probably the only aspie teen in my school (or at least my class), I get made fun of a lot, and I often feel isolated whenever my classmates are participating in activities.

Wish these "normal" people would accept us for who we are, instead of what they think we should be. -.-;

@misspinkpunkykat thats how i always felt... I wanted friends tho but no one treated me right so i started not to care. i always wanted to just skip to adult years. But i also wanted to find someone who saw the world like i did.

@WejYllemS you are a complete dick. I have aspergers. The difference is that growing up in a rough neighborhood made me a fighter. I kicked the shit out of people who made fun of me or those who couldnt stand up for themselves. Your use of language shows that your IQ is that of a 5th grader.
