Does ANY liberal think that that fat leech-like pustule, Michael Moore is, in any small (oops) way a HYPOCRITE? Never really have encountered a liberal with anything above a shoe-size IQ, so why bother searching for one who sees the irony in that 400-pound beluga waddling to the bank after he wastes another mile of tape crapping on the hand that (over)feeds him. :-)

umm...not all scientists agree on that...and making that claim is just uneducated. co2 is what we exhale (bio 101) trees need co2 to convert it into oxygen(also bio 101)
if you want to know why some(not all) scientists and politicians like al gore support it-there are multiple conflicts of interest in which gore and several prominent scientists stand to benefit off of "carbon credits"(quasi indulgences -ie. bribes) these are sold to companies making them "greener". now thats hypocrisy

There is definitely a relationship between temperature and CO2 - all scientists agree on that. And CO2 is going up - where the disagreement lies is on the forcings, the impact and policy approaches. I don't think we should be taking radical action, however I think significant precautionary steps should be taken, in case their right - which is still possible.

so you believe that based on the possibility that something bad, may or may not be happening, which may or not be caused by people, that because of that uncertain possibility, we should radicaly change the course of human behavior on this planet?

"But to pretend that there isn't sound evidence that something maybe going on is just as absurd"
so you are saying that there IS sound evidence of something that MAY or MAY NOT be going on?
but if there is sound evidence doesn't that mean that something IS going on?
and if it may not be going on doesn't that mean that there is NO sound evidence at all?

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaittt....Gore must be right. After all, he won an Oscar and a Nobel Peace prize.

The evidence on this theory is still preliminary - if you paid attention to the science instead of the politics you'd know this. Richard Lindzen (renowned APGW Skeptic and MIT Climatologist ) publicly cautioned fellow scientists to be just as careful as the we were urging the APGW fetishists to be. My take is it's such a complex system that anything we try and predict precisely hasn't a chance of being in roughly correct in terms of timing and impact.
The global average temperature began to go down the same year that sunspot and solar flare activity began reducing. Up to that point we were in a period of increased activity. Sun active = warm. Sun inactive = cool. What a concept!
You folks are grasping at straws. Don't expect any of us objective types to take your belief that it will begin to warm again on faith. We don't believe in your religion. CO2 is not a polutant. It's one of the natural functions of this planet.

How about getting rid of the unconstitutional Czars, who have no accountability to Congressional review?
