Yes & Steve saved his money-unlike the other players who are did or are still playing because they blew all their money on booze, drugs, fast cars, hookers & at the bookies & have to.
When you look at the number of meaningful titles Higgins actually won, it is pathetic for somebody of his talent level.

@nyu6697 unfortunately he was drunk all the time and allways talking nonsense.I guess it's karma ,when steve davis was on top alex used to do his best to make him feel uncomfortable , dissing his lack of flair and such, but steve now has the utmost respect of players and fans. Alex died a sad death.

With people like Higgins it is always somebody else's fault, or something happening. You see it with most soccer managers-always the linesman, or the ref causing them to lose. Or the Williams sisters in tennis-when they win their opponent put up a great fight, when they lose they have an injury or problem-rather than the opponent outplaying them. Of course most alcoholics & drug addicts are unable to accept they are responsible for their problems.
