I'm guessing that this is an old negro song, based on the alternate spelling and pronunciation of the word "children."
I know Frankie was influenced by and embraced black singers from Armstrong to Holliday to Waller and had famous recordings of Armstrong's "Black and Blue" and "Shine."
Great record, as usual.

A nice reminder of my National service stint in 1955. I haven't heard this one in a long, long time, and it is great to listen to it once again.

This is the very first recording by Frank that I bought - 5/6d as I remember, on Philips blue label 78rpm.
On the reverse was "My Friend". Great memories!
