RE4 Best Shotgun Competition (3) Striker: The 1st Round

The Best Shotgun Competition: the first round is Castle Entry (Chapter 3-1), and 3 shotguns (Shotgun, Riot Gun, Striker) will compete to get higher points before entering the castle.

Part 3 is the Striker (exclusive).

I use the Striker often, simply because it's the smallest shotgun and carries 100 bullets, so it saves up lots of space in the case.

In this competition, the Striker has more power than other 2 shotguns, so it looks great on paper.

But more power it has, more bullet usage deducted. So it has to perform with its max ability to climb up the ladder!

I think anyone playing this game for first time should take a look at your videos to find out which gun suits their style best. If you are good at headshots, doesn't matter which shotgun you use as almost all are one hit kill with shotgun headshots. Hope you do a shotgun comparison on one of the Island chapters, esp the one with J.J.

And handgun+shotgun combination should be interesting contest (: Nice vids... (: Off to round2 now.

I visited the island so many times with the Handguns, I felt I needed to change the scenary (@_@) But like you said, JJ (& Mike) factors affected the score so much it was definitely fun!

I used to hate this weapon, but I hardly use shotguns offensively now, so I like the spread. It should get +1000 points for the Ditman glitch. =P

I've been using shotguns ever-so-defensively, so it's kind of refreshing to do this competition. and yes, if you say so, Mr King of Glitch (^_^)

Yes. I meant I used the Riot Shotgun, the Semi-Auto Rifle, the TMP and the Red 9. I'd have to say, I used the Red 9 the most all game, easy. I only whipped out the shotty during bosses and large condensed groups and to bust shields. The TMP was what I used in replace of my pistol when I was all out of that ammo and I only bought the rifle to kill the creepy-ass regenerating abominations. Man, that first one scared the hell out of me when they trap you in that room with it.

Yeah, I love the TMP. 1) its fun to use, and 2) its an ammo saver. for instance, shoot one bullet into the guys leg or face, kick him, knife him to death. simple and doesn't take much ammo at all.

Also... One more pitch on the TMP's behalf... For those of you who have trouble imagining a tmp as a proper replacement for the all important pistol consider the blacktail vs red9 argument. Red9 is slower but stronger blacktail is mid damage mid speed and now just consider the TMP as a super fast pistol with low damage that is more economic with ammo vs ganado and has a higher dps against bosses than most shotguns to boot! Have I sold you yet?

The TMP is just fine. As long as you're using it to replace your pistol (your shotgun is too necesary). I'm doing a first time run with only a tmp and a shotgun so far and it's doing well (I just got past first Gigante). Ammo isn't a problem as I use the TMP mostly for setting up knifes or kicks. On top of that I have more money than I know what to do with as I sell all my pistol ammo. Definitely a solid replacement for the pistol imho. There are many ways play this game.
