  • Hi there, I am in Brisbane Australia and am the present caretaker of an Eldorado very similar to this one. It belonged to my late father-in-law and is now part of his estate. It plays very well and has a spare barrell which we haven't heard as yet. The one installed plays a Blue Danube style waltz. The name of the song is on the end of the barrell but is in German, the other has six songs on the barrell. The paintings are of castles on the Rhine.

The machine is for sale. Value??

  • This is the same type of cylinder piano-orchestrion as they have at "House On the Rock" in Wisconsin, USA! They have a model nearly identical to this one (but with xylophone bars instead of tubular bells, and a new case) that they call the "puppet piano" because of the puppets added inside the case.

They also have the largest cylinder piano-orchestrion I have ever seen... an "eldorado" that contains piano, rotating mandolin, two ranks of pipes (violin and cello), xylophone, and drums.
