  • Isn't gezondheid also german? So that's where spek came from. spreken also german? so many words are so close to othere languages. great job. I hope I learn a lot more too.

  • @MrFlyinpig Gesundheit is the German word. The spelling is different but I believe the prunounciation is almost the same. There are a lot of German words that I can read and understand because they're so similar to Dutch and English. I can even stretch to reading a little bit of Swedish because there are so many similarities. People say that if you know English, it's easy to learn these other languages. I don't believe that's totally true though. For learning single words, yes...

  • It helps to know a little English. But when it comes to constructing sentences, the grammar is totally different. Infact, to me it's more logical than English. I see so many mistakes made by Dutch students because they're writing Dutch words using English grammar. Language is so interesting. I will never stop learning. I hope you enjoy learning with me.

  • Bedankt voor de super gemaakte reportage van onze Nederlandse woorden die je nu helemaal kent en na vandaag ook kunt op splitsen in lettergrepen.

Groetjes van Acissej tot volgende week weer.

  • @78acissej thnx for your comment. I'm just glad that I have someone who cares enough to givve me motivation to learn all the words along with everything else we do. our time together in dutch lesson means a lot to me. I only hope we can go further with it some time in the future.

  • @ACCESS2B Spanish really isn't that difficult to learn once you've mastered the whole feminine and masculine words and such. And another thing that learning another language has really shown me is that - for many english words, there really isn't a direct translation to spanish without changing the entire context of the statement. For example, we say "Hot Dog" for a frank in a bun. "Hot Dog" in spanish is "Perrito caliente", which is "dog hot". Most people would think of the animal being hot.

  • @MyVoicenotSilenced Thnx for your comment. Even though adding those words took a long time I thought it would be fun to put them there. Nice for you to try and I know a lot of youtubers that want to learn Dutch so it's also useful for them.

  • @VideoGuyNC Thnx for your comment. Spanish sounds somewhat difficult to speak, but I'm sure if I were to try and learn it, it wouldn't be as bad. I wish you goodluck with that.

  • Nice! I have also been trying to learn a second language for several years now. I'm trying to become very good at speaking Spanish. In the U.S - we have a large Spanish speaking population. Plus, I just like the language. Good luck!
