It's been thirteen months and Steve Vaught has walked over 3000 miles straight. After leaving behind a family struggling to find itself, he may only have his own shadow to go back to. A half filled Ipod and torn backpack are the only things he has left in the world now in these, his final days in the gossip pages as the American folk hero of the year. But no one knows that it's been his own demons and past ghosts that have been his only real companion through out. Befriended millions, he's never been more alone than in his twilight as "Fat Man Walking".. He started off in his own private hell and barely broke the sky to see heaven, now he may be falling for the last time.

  • I followed this from the beginning. It started out as a weight lose thing. And ONLY a weight lose thing. Then as he cheated. Got car rides. Eat massive and massive amounts of fast food. And wasn't losing weight, in fact he gained weight or stayed the same. It changed into some type of s spiritual journey (Since the weight thing was a fail). A sham. The whole thing.

  • @faithandfrankie4ever You'd think he would have lost a lot more weight.

  • Add more oomph to those miles! Check out my channel.

  • You must not know the Steve Vaught we know.

  • In a country full of whiners and crybabies, Steve Vaught is an inspiration.

It's all about getting off your ass and doing something.

This is a story that should be required reading.

    Americans have grown weak.

It took a 400 pound man with depression to show what a real man, a man with true balls, is.

God bless ya Steve, I have nothing but the highest and deepest respect for you.

  • actually it's a good idea.people are far tooooooo fixated on the "number" . yep,its a great idea.

  • Alozzle,

It is so hard to correct something once it's out on the web. The idea that I refused to step on a scale after the walk is a lie. In fact, the person who made the statement video tapped me on the scale. But it was not sensational enough for them so they lied.

  • I've never seen this. whats it about?

  • Dont worry im even fatter than you.

  • Steve Vaught is such a fraud. You don't walk all that way then refuse to step on a scale for people that want to know how much weight you've lost.
