Changuito (Jose Luis Quintana) plays a great Timbal solo desde "Será Que Se Acabó" con Los Van Van.
Very special thanks to Lisbet Tellefsen (Videotape-Camera) for shooting the beautiful video and providing us this treasure and Brett Gollin (Bongo Logic) who is seen signaling her to come back to film the Timbal solo.

(the audio has issues but hey, it's 1985! (I dubbed in my separately recorded cassette-audio way back then with little gear and will try to redo it with 21st century tech soon. For the tech-oriented I used a Sony Pro Walkman and cheap Radioshack PZM for this one - mostly from about ten feet back from the front of the stage and up on a pole - I want to redo this with better EQ and easier synching - I used the variable pitch control on the Sony and it drifts!)

yes, that's the usual response around here...

I showed it to Gibby Ross when we brought it back, fresh, from Cuba.

He literally flipped, a few times on the couch, and then it was - "play it again!...can I see it again...play it again...!"

The same happened time after time.

Showed it during breaks at my recording studio and drummers would go back in for some amazing solos.

It's timeless as is all greatness.
