In a rematch of the 1991 NCAA College World Series, LSU won its second CWS in three years as they shut out Wichita State 8-0. LSU was led by freshman pitcher Bret Laxton who had 16 strikeouts and only allowed three hits in the game.
i was at this game - cheap left field seats. whatever. i was there, watched it all. a moment in time that no one can ever take away from me. a HUGE moment in LSU Sports and CWS History, and I was there. I will never forget this game. Living in Omaha has it's moments. My daughter was at the Very Last CWS game ever to be played at our beloved Rosenblatt Stadium. Life can be so strange. she doesn't even care, even though she was there. UGH

They got it mixed up. Carl Hall was the right fielder for WSU who hit the final out.
