BP could of killed a man and people would of gotten over it quicker. Ask Ray Lewis.

The way he left ATL sucks, and I would of been mad too, but it seems like the media and everyone is still after the man. He doesn't do himself any favors with the temper tantrums, but I'm glad he's coaching the hogs and I think he holds his players to higher standards then most coaches today.

@Hogsfanul That's true, hybrid Dawg/Falcons fans (which I am not) mostly. THOSE fans can suffer for all I care :-p

It's one of those things no one's gonna change their minds on. It was a chintzy exit, but I get that that's none of the average Hogs' fans concern. They ended up with the right man for their job. Besides, most SEC coaches are douchey on some level.

It'll be interesting to see if Petrino can orchestrate another BCS bowl. That division is tight...

And Falcons fans have long since gotten over it. We ended up with a much better coach because of it. The only reason it keeps getting brought up is because of reporters who don't let it go and how classlessly BP arranged his departure.

(BTW, Petrino's version of the story is LITERALLY only supported by his agent. You'll find absolutely NO ONE ELSE who supports his version of the story.)

Let's get real here. It has been 4 years and people STILL ignore facts. The owners of ATL would NOT let Petrino talk to the players. Also, Nutt knoew this. Anderson was hot about it, true. But, he was more hot about the owners NOT letting the coach said goodbye. Nutt knew this. What NUTT did to Arkansas was the same. He quit; was not fired. He quit with the bowl game to be played. He has no right talking about anyone else leaving. BP told the owners he was not happy. THE OWNERS KNEW.

Maybe Ed should go ask Arthur Blank and their idiot McKay how they strangled BP not helping him get rid of players or coaches he didn't want and not letting Ark officials even talk with BP about the job.
