I dont get it, marijuana in australia is illegal and the police enforce it pretty well, so how is this place running?

i loved nimbin, so fun there, and i was only there for 2 hours.... lots of "smells" and mah uncle got offered a joint in da main street l0l!

its still operating but just as an educational tool, "cafe" a place to discuss & talk, meet people that feel & know the laws are a crime ! no selling of weed though, just yummy food ,coffee & cakes.
